Nitro Circus was an American television series that featured Travis Pastrana and his friends traveling around the world riding dirtbikes, base jumping, and performing reckless stunts. It was originally run as a miniseries in 2006 on Fuel TV. In January 2009, it began running as an episodic reality television show on MTV that featured people performing various dangerous stunts. The series officially debuted on February 8, 2009. Season 2 premiered on August 27, 2009.
On March 3, 2010, cast member Jim DeChamp posted on his personal Facebook page that MTV had cancelled the show.
As of May 2010, the show has been removed from MTV's Current Shows page.
On June 2 2010 while touring with Nitro Circus in Australia, Travis Pastrana was asked if he would be continuing with the show. He replied "We'll see what happens when we get back to America". on June 3 2010 the show resumed filming.
Canadian Female Motocross Champion. She joins Pastrana in many stunts involving dirt bikes. Van Vugt took on more of a cheerleading role in the second season after breaking her arm and can be seen wearing a hot pink cast throughout the season.
Pro mountain bike downhill racer and freestyle rider. He has been friends with Pastrana since childhood. They collaborate on many stunts together on the show. Became the first person to land a front-flip on a motorbike to dirt, as seen in the last episode of the first season.
A former street racer. Known by his nickname "Street Bike Tommy", which he received after failed stunt. He is the general comic relief member of the crew. Usually used on stunts that are the most dangerous while requiring the least amount of talent.
Pastrana's Cousin. Powell goes by the nickname "Special Greg". Special is the all around member of the team, and generally attempts any stunt on the show. Greg was a wide receiver (primarily used on special teams) on the University of Maryland football team from 2003–06. [2]
Besides the Nitro Crew, a number of other athletes and members of the production crew made regular on-screen appearances, including executive producers and creators Jeremy Rawle, Gregg Godfrey, Jeff Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville, mechanic Hubert Rowland, former motocross rider Ronnie Renner, pro wakeboarder Parks Bonifay, and pro skydiver Scott Palmer..

Planned Movie
On the 13th of May 2010, Andy Bell stated via Facebook, that a movie has been planned to begin filming this fall, and is set to make a release at cinemas in 3D. He stated in the meantime, the site will keep getting updated and "will keep everyone entertained".[3]
